There are approximately 7.000 kinds of apples in the world, more or less known, that vary according to the taste, the colour, the consistency and, of course, their final use. The apple tree is one of the most planted trees on earth, meaning that apples are constantly present on our tables. This is why we felt the need to dedicate a whole book to this magical fruit that is always so colourful and whose taste is unmistakable. Non le solite mele presents a series of sweet, sour and gluten-free recipes, perfect for any moment of the day and any period of the year: from classics such as apple crumble and apple pie, to fun and original recipes, such as egg white pastry filled cookies and tuna tartare with apples and balsamic vinegar. Recipes that have been created, tasted and recommended by author and food blogger Elvira De Luca.
Elvira De Luca was born in Modena, but moved to Tuscany, where she still lives with her partner Andrea and her three daughters, Francesca and twins Chiara and Stefania. She opened her blog, Elvira Dolci e Cucina, in 2015, and it’s a place for her to gather family recipes, experiments and new creations. She also uses her Instagram profile elvira_dolci_e_cucina_ to share her love for food photography. She managed to turn her passion into work, starting to collaborate with a cooking magazine and different companies in the food sector. Non le solite mele is her first book with Trenta Editore.
