One of the main aspects that makes our country unique is the extraordinary variety of ingredients and recipes that we can find in our territory. There’s always a moment in our lives, though, when we feel the need to go back home, in order to find the familiar taste of the place we came from. This is what Alessandro Li Calzi (or L’Orso in cucina) did with this book, which is entirely dedicated to his mother land: Sicily. In here we can find moments spent with his family in Canicattì, gradma Piera’s teachings, recipes that have been passed on in dialect. And so we see world famous recipes, such as cannoli, arancini and caponata, but also less-known, older recipes, such as the cassatelle (or raviole), the falsomagro and the milanisa. All recipes that Alex has kept within his heart and that he now wants to share with his public.
