The book
It is one of Italy’s icons. When we think about lemons we think of windy gardens, shadowed by green roofs, we think of the light wind of a summer night, of a hot day saved by the pleasure of a fresh lemonade. Lemons are often taken for granted nowadays, as well as underestimated, however it does have amazing virtues: it’s a superfood with major health benefits and it is no-waste because you don’t throw away anything from it. Also, it’s always in season because it grows all year long in Italy.
Italy is pretty much considered the land of lemons. These fruits are appreciated everywhere around the world and they are part of some of the most famous made in Italy products, like Limoncello. This book portrays a journey to discover lemons, telling the story of its unique characteristics and showcasing many recipes that highlight their taste in the kitchen.

Manuela Soressi
She started her career as a food journalist in a very casual way, but she soon got really passionate about the field. She was the director of a food magazine and then, as a freelancer, she started telling the “behind the scenes” of the food industry for different newspapers and magazines. Today she’s a contributor for many different national newspapers; Il Paese dei limoni is her first book with Trenta Editore.
Ramona Pizzano
She was born in Irpinia in 1983 and joined the food sector at only 12 years of age. Her passion for cooking drove her to start her own blog and share her cooking experiments online: Farina, lievito e fantasia is her virtual diary where people can find plenty of recipes inspired by the traditional Italian cooking and much more. Food experiences, travel diaries, pictures and columns of different kind. This is the soul of her blog, always in search for new adventures.
